Presedintele SUA, Sonald Trump, a anuntat ca Rex Tillerson, secretarul de stat al SUA, a fost inlocuit din functie cu Mike Pompeo. Pompeo este directorul CIA.
Tillerson a avut in ultima perioada o relatie tensionata cu Trump.
”Mike Pompeo, directorul CIA, va deveni noul nostru secretar de Stat. El va face o treaba fantastica! Ii multumesc Rex Tillerson pentru serviciile sale! Gina Haspel va deveni noul director al CIA si prima femeie in aceasta pozitie. Felicitari tuturor!”, scrie Trump pe Twitter.
