Podul Francis Scott Key Bridge din Baltimore s-a prabusit marti dimineata devreme dupa ce a fost lovit de o nava de mari dimensiuni, anunta CNN.
Tot traficul este deviat, a precizat Autoritatea de Transport din Maryland (MTA), si nu este clar daca cineva a fost ranit. CNN a contactat Departamentul de pompieri din Baltimore pentru informatii suplimentare.
Podul de 2 kilometri, cu 4 benzi, se intindea peste raul Patapsco, fiind o legatura esentiala cu Interstate-695, sau Centura Baltimore.

In jurul orei 1:30, un vas de mari dimensiuni s-a izbit de pod, luand foc inainte de a se scufunda si provocand caderea mai multor vehicule in apa de dedesubt, potrivit unei inregistrari video postate pe X.
„Toate benzile sunt inchise in ambele directii pentru un incident pe I-695 Key Bridge. Traficul este deviat”, a postat Autoritatea de Transport din Maryland pe X.
„Personalul de urgenta se afla la fata locului, iar eforturile sunt in curs de desfasurare”, a postat primarul orasului Baltimore, Brandon M. Scott, pe X.
